How to Print NYSC Addendum 2026: What It Is and Why You Need It

How to Print NYSC Addendum: You just finished your NYSC online registration, logged into your dashboard for the first time, and suddenly a document pops up on your screen. If you’re like most graduates, your first instinct is probably to close it.

Don’t.

That document is your NYSC Addendum.

A lot of prospective corps members close the popup without paying attention to it, which is why many people do not even know what the addendum is until someone mentions it later.

What is the NYSC Addendum?

So, what exactly is the NYSC Addendum? Let’s skip the boring definitions.

The addendum is simply an extra registration slip that contains additional information about your mobilization. In most cases, there is a space at the bottom where you are expected to sign.

It is basically NYSC’s way of confirming that you have seen and acknowledged certain information related to your registration.

One thing you should know is that document checks are not always the same in every orientation camp.

In some camps, officials may ask for the addendum during registration. In others, it may never come up.

Either way, it is better to have it than to need it and not have it.

So when the popup appears, print it immediately.

If you already closed it by mistake, don’t panic. You can usually find the option to reprint it on your NYSC dashboard.

Keep a copy together with your Green Card and Call-up Letter. It only takes a few minutes to print, and having it ready can save you unnecessary stress during camp registration.

How to Print Your NYSC Addendum

Printing the NYSC addendum is straightforward.

If possible, use a laptop or desktop computer. Some people have issues downloading or printing the document directly from their phones, so a computer is usually the safer option.

  1. Go to the NYSC portal and log in to your dashboard.
  2. Once you log in, the addendum should appear on your screen.
  3. Scroll down and click the print button.
  4. Save it as a PDF or print it directly.

If you don’t have access to a computer, you can save the PDF and send it to a nearby business centre for printing.

How Many Pages Is the NYSC Addendum?

The addendum is usually two pages long.

You can print it front and back on a single A4 sheet if you want to keep your documents organised and reduce printing costs.

After printing, check the second page. If there is a space for your signature, sign it before travelling to camp.

What If the Addendum Does Not Appear on Your Dashboard?

If you log in and do not see the addendum, don’t panic.

NYSC does not always make the addendum available for every batch or stream at the same time.

If it is not showing on your dashboard, it may simply mean that it has not been activated for your stream or is not required at that moment.

Why You Should Print the NYSC Addendum

The addendum is one of those documents many prospective corps members overlook during registration.

If it appears on your dashboard, print it and keep it together with your Green Card and Call-up Letter.

Having all your documents ready before camp will save you unnecessary stress during registration.

What Does the NYSC Addendum Contain?

Now that you know how to print it, it is worth knowing what is actually inside it.

A lot of PCMs print the addendum, sign it, and pack it without reading a single line. Do not do that.

Some of the information on the document can help you avoid common mistakes before travelling to camp.

Here is a breakdown of what the addendum covers:

Travel and Safety

The addendum advises corps members not to travel at night.

NYSC includes this reminder for a reason. If your journey will take longer than expected, it is better to stop somewhere safe and continue the next day than to travel through the night.

Use recognised motor parks, stay alert during your journey, and plan your trip early enough to avoid rushing to camp.

Documents You Must Bring to Camp

This section changes depending on your background, so read it carefully.

If you studied in Nigeria, you are expected to come with your original certificate or statement of result.

If you studied abroad, you will need the credentials you uploaded during registration as well as your international passport.

Medical and health-related graduates are usually required to come with their professional licence, while polytechnic graduates may also need their ND certificate alongside other required documents.

Go through the list carefully and make sure you have everything ready before leaving home.

Arriving at camp without an important document can delay your registration and create unnecessary problems.

Special Instructions Worth Knowing

Two categories of PCMs have special arrangements mentioned in the addendum.

Married women can report at the orientation camp in their husband’s state of domicile regardless of where they were posted, provided they come with the required marital documents. If this applies to you, make sure those documents are ready and properly arranged.

Pregnant women and nursing mothers are generally not expected to stay in camp for health and safety reasons. They are usually registered and allowed to leave shortly afterwards. If you fall into this category, the addendum explains the arrangement NYSC has for you, so there is no need to worry about how the process works.

Conduct and Uniform

The addendum makes it clear that indiscipline is not tolerated in camp.

Your passport photograph on the portal should be clear and suitable for official use. If you uploaded a photo that does not meet the required standard, it is worth addressing before reporting to camp.

You are also expected to wear the approved NYSC uniform properly throughout your stay in camp. Failure to do so may lead to queries from camp officials.

Health Notes

The addendum advises corps members to disclose any genuine health condition during medical screening at camp.

If you have a health condition that could affect your participation in camp activities, let the medical team know during registration so they can assist you appropriately.

Immunizations against common diseases are also encouraged before travelling to camp, although they are not compulsory. If you have not had a general medical check-up in a while, this may be a good time to do one before leaving for camp.

Read the addendum before you sign it. It is only two pages long, and it contains information that can help you prepare properly for camp.
